POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial machines and equipment and makes minor repairs and adjustments. This position will carry out the necessary troubleshooting of processes and should have the relevant skills to perform diagnosis of hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic problems in relation to process equipment.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Follows work instructions to perform preventative maintenance as required by the Frequency Schedule- Makes major repairs of equipment and occasionally make minor repairs with minimum supervision- Assists in maintenance of the premises- Tags out equipment deemed to be unsafe for operation- Performs maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
