What being Trusted Advisor in the role of a BSA/Fraud Analyst entails:The BSA/Fraud Analyst provides extraordinary experiences daily byutilizing analytical skills and seasoned judgement to balance compliance with all facets of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), minimize fraud loss exposure, while serving as a Trusted Advisor to internal and external customers.. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.)Detection and investigation of BSA risk exposure through comprehensive in-depth research and analysis of high-volume suspect transactions as generated by the banks BSA transaction monitoring systems and additional analysis and reviews of suspicious activity as noted through other identification channels including other banking departments or personnel.Early detection, prevention, and accountability for overall minimization of future losses through in-depth analysis and review of high-volume suspect transactions as generated by the banks fraud transaction monitoring systems, and comprehensive analysis and review of fraud activity reported by other departments/personnel within the bank. Completion of intricate documentation models and time sensitive reports (including both SARs and CTRs) within compliance and accuracy thresholds, as well as the seamless use of seasoned judgment and logical reasoning to determine and apply appropriate actions that mitigate the banks BSA and/or Fraud exposure. Works directly with office, branch, and other personnel in the resolution of BSA and Fraud cases, including providing general step by step knowledge, re-occurring comprehensive support, positive feedback, timely consultation on alternatives and follow up on results of case conclusions. Recommends process and procedure changes and manages various projects designed to enhance the banks overall deposit risk program (including both BSA and fraud). Masters outbound and inbound communication channels regarding contact from financial institutions, law enforcement agencies, bank personnel, and customers to fully investigate and obtain pertinent information regarding specific fraud and/or BSA cases. Validates and manages the compilation of BSA and Fraud metrics for presentation to the banks Management Team. Acts as liaison at a high level with internal auditors and examiners as directed by the BSA Officer.Handles confidential information in a professional manner and in accordance with the banks privacy policies. QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES: One (1) to three (3) years of experience demonstrating a high level of analytical skill and/or seasoned judgement is required. Prefer three (3) years of progressive banking experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of financial transactions and exposure to the Bank Secrecy Act, the banks deposit operations area and fraud mitigation.
