As a Manufacturing Project Engineer at the Tuscon Proving Ground, you will be part of a team developing new technologies and innovations for the Mining and Construction industries. You will not only be able to develop world-class methodologies for enabling safe and accurate machine-level validation, but you will also help improve.
What you can look forward to in this role:
- Create innovative testing procedures to enhance the safety and quality of lab testing and validation processes.
- Offer technical expertise and strategic support to the Tuscon Proving Ground in implementing breakthrough technologies for machine-level validation.
- Lead Strategic Six Sigma projects to accomplish long-term PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost) facility goals.
A successful candidate in this role will excel in the following areas:
Lean Manufacturing: Extensive experience in product development, design engineering, or Six Sigma. Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophy and implementation methodologies; ability to integrate and apply lean manufacturing principles to current testing and validation processes. (BIQ, 5S, RCCA, Flow).
Manufacturing Process Design and Development: Knowledge of Engineering Validation Standards, Procedures, and Policies: Plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for conformity using organizational testing and validation standards.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. Understanding the values and processes that prioritize customer needs in all laboratory's decisions.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. Strong analytical skills and capabilities. Ability to draw insights from data to make quick, well-informed decisions. Demonstrate trust and inspire your fellow team members.
Manufacturing Best Practices and Standards: Knowledge of best practices and standards for improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of the design, production, and distribution of manufacturing products; ability to create and implement best practices and standards for various manufacturing processes and activities.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or STEM field.
6 Sigma Black Belt training in DMAIC methodologies.

The primary location for this position is Green Valley, AZ (Tucson Proving Ground).
