Job Description

HII-Mission Technologies is looking for a self-motivated Program Manager (PM) with outstanding organizational skills and the ability to work in a small team environment. The Individual would be part of the on our Tactical Sensors and Electronics team. During this role, the PM is responsible for running the daily operations of the contracts, including but not limited to cost, schedule, and performance supporting the division's goals and objectives.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the engineering oversight and performance of technical projects or a definable portion of a larger technical program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.

  • Closely works with the project's program manager to ensure all technical, cost, and schedule milestones are achieved within the project

  • Directs multifunction engineering team designing complex electronics systems

  • Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities.

  • Manages the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.

  • Also responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned projects and for supporting new business development by leading relatively small proposals or assisting with major proposals.

  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.

  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.

  • Defines project scope and objectives.

  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.

  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.

  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.

  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

  • Responsible for the functional management of a technical team

  • May supervise professional and technical personnel performing in their regular disciplines.

  • Participates in the development and execution of budgets, sales and marketing plans and other strategic tools.

  • Participates in driving initiatives for achieving established objectives.

  • May serve as the primary or assistant technical and management interface for the company, customer, and senior staff.

  • Provides management services including general administrative oversight, time accounting, financial tracking, cost projection, inventory management, personnel evaluation and support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.

  • Experience leading the design, development, integration and test of electronics

  • Experience leading a multifunction engineering team

  • Able to supervise, manage, support and evaluate personnel.

Preferred Requirements

  • Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance

  • Passionate about protecting and supporting the American warfighter mission on the ground

  • US Military Veteran experienced in Design, test, and evaluation of small arms weapons and ammunitions, explosives, and energetics.

  • Able to perform at a high level in a small team environment

  • Possess outstanding leadership skills, understand when to be a leader and when to serve as a supporting agent to another PM within the organization
