Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide day-to-day leadership of the assigned team to ensure the team safely and efficiently performs the activities related to the assembly, logistics, or quality of Caterpillar engines. Logistics Tech II reports to IRA section manager and will be assigned to Inventory Record Accuracy department to meet customer and company demands. This position is for data entry duties within the IRA department in Seguin.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Must have intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office- Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Perform reconciliation of parts according to the IRA processes and procedures
Able to work in Excel spreadsheet to input data and populate reports as needed
Able to Learn Caterpillar manufacturing systems (e.g., Plex and MAMM) for inventory count reconciliation
Complete root cause analysis of defects discovered in the cycle count, audit and reconcile processes
Lead and support Caterpillar Production System Continuous Improvement activities
Escalate issues and the necessary resources to root cause and develop counter measures
Work closely with Management and Team Leads and provide support to other departments as needed
Execute special duties and projects as directed by Section Manager and Team Lead
What you will have:
Must have intermediate computer skills
Knowledge of parts/products and assembly tools
Intermediate proficiency in standard operating procedures or standard work
Strong written and verbal communication
Experience in a "team environment"
Ability to utilize intermediate MS office suite functions (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
No written infractions in last rolling 6 months
What would make you a top candidate:
At least 6 months of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics.
Experience with inventory management
Strong analytical skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to lead and multi-task while staying organized
Capable of working independently
