Summary You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT (VENDOR/STORAGE MANAGEMENT) of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 9.75% will be added to the stated salary. Responsibilities You will act as a point of contact for all household goods shipment management functions related to invoicing, Storage in Transit/Non-temporary Storage (SIT/NTS), and provide Transportation Service Provider (TSP) quality assurance oversight. You will approve/disapprove invoices submitted by Transportation Service Providers (TSPs) or contractors. You will manage shipments in both Storage-in-Transit (SIT) and Non-Temporary Storage (NTS). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-06 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Reviewing orders and determining extent of entitlements in support of the shipment and storage of personal property including household goods and privately owned vehicles; 2) Calculate, review, and approve shipment costs, billing statements, and invoicing functions; 3) Preparing shipping documentation which may include determining excess cost. GS-05 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Utilizing automated systems to process personal property shipments; 2) Providing customer support while performing shipment and storage functions; and 3) Utilizing automated information systems to gather and/or input a range of standard information. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. OR You have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
