General Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of tooling/equipment in support of manufacturing operations for PVA brush processing.

  • Participate in the planning, design, selection, procurement, installation, and validation of new capital equipment needed for facility operations and expansion projects

  • Maintain facility systems (Wastewater, HVAC, Chemical distribution, life safety, etc.)

  • Program software for industrial automation, remote monitoring, and data acquisition.

  • Conduct Install/qualification of tools including Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR), Process Stability and Capability (CP/CPK), and equipment/process matching.

  • Establish Statistical Process Control (SPC) for new processes and equipment

  • Create and maintain standard operation and maintenance procedures to support the transition of new equipment/processes to production.

  • Resolve technical problems using data driven root cause analysis

  • Recommend and implement improvements to production methods, equipment, and processes with a focus on capacity improvement, cost reduction, process stability, and yield improvement

  • Provide general engineering support for manufacturing, conversion operations, wastewater, and facility operations.

  • Support ITW Toolbox projects including In-Lining, MRD, PLS and 80/20 evaluations.

  • Participate on spill response and emergency teams.

  • Make contributions to maintain and improve overall company personnel Safety.

  • Adhere to all Company, department, quality, and safety procedures.

  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Mechanical engineering preferred, Chemical, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering).

  • Three (3) to five (5) years or more related experience in manufacturing and engineering processes; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Effective communication, both verbal and with PC based tools.

  • Strong project management skills required.

  • Some travel may be required.

  • AutoCAD (or similar) proficiency.

  • Experience with developing and implementing new manufacturing technologies.

  • Experience with semiconductor capital equipment; design, manufacture, and project management of customer qualification/ECN process

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

  • Strong mechanical & electrical hands on capabilities.

  • PLC programming knowledge preferred.

  • Work conditions include chemical processing areas, cleanrooms, laboratories, customer manufacturing facilities, and standard business offices.
