Job Description

Brooks Instrument, a global manufacturer of flow and pressure measurement and control products for critical applications, and a division of ITW (A Fortune 200 Company) is seeking candidates for a Business Development Manager supporting our Service & Repair business unit. This position will be based out of our headquarters location at Hatfield, PA (Suburban Philadelphia). Brooks maintains manufacturing, sales, and service center facilities around the world, and our products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: life sciences, petro-chemicals, semiconductor, analytical instrumentation, nuclear, and solar cells.

Basic Function

Maximize Service revenue opportunities by supporting OEMs and distribution/reseller channels with their Service products related needs. Working closely with channel sales and strategic account managers, develop and implement sales channel on-boarding, training, marketing and sales growth plan specific to Service products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the channel sales and strategic account managers, utilizing ServiceCloud tool to monitor the overall performance of indirect channels and OEM Service sales.

  • Establish effective, professional relationships with the key personnel in the -80- Semi channel and OEM accounts, conduct regular meetings to review Service sales records and develop action plans to increase sales.

  • Prepare and present periodic Service channels and OEM sales reports to company management to provide information useful in taking key business decisions.

  • Manage monthly Service trade revenue forecast and outlook for Regional Service Centers.

  • Working closely with Industrial internal direct Sales resources, reps, agents and distributors to actively promote Service offerings to serve the Global market. Activities may include development of sales tools specific to Service products and making joint calls with Sales to key customers.

  • Work with sales and with customers directly to understand needs, support major account activity, maintain product awareness and provide training.

  • Create presentations, newsletters and other sales support and training materials to enhance effectiveness of all selling activities.

  • Work with marketing communications to implement promotions, advertising campaigns, targeted communications, trade show initiatives, internet strategies and other activities in support of the service product strategies.

  • Support Business Unit Manager with annual and long-range planning activities, review organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals

  • Serve as a member of the Service BU Global Management Team, contribute to the development and implementation of BU organizational strategies, policies and practices.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in technical or business related field with a minimum 5 years experience in customer-facing role required.

  • Prior strategic account management and/or customer service management experience a plus.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and MAPICS preferred.
