Job Description:
Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
Essential Functions:
Completes manufacturing in compliance with quality specifications.
Input for improved methods, tooling, and assembly aids required to achieve special design engineering requirements.
Supports root cause analysis of failed electronic components, and recommends corrective actions.
Corrects manufacturing failures by making adjustments, or replacing parts or components as directed.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Performs continuous improvement projects targeting waste affecting product quality, cost, and schedule or other items of value to the business.
Maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment at all times as detailed in company policy and procedure.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Uphold high ethical standards.
Support OT (nights, weekends, extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements and business needs.
Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has moderate impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience in prototype and first time build processes.
Knowledgeable in manufacturing process improvement through adoption of more efficient methods using tools such as, lean, six sigma, just do it, and TOC techniques Demonstrated ability to comprehend schematics, logic drawings, layouts, wire lists, and prints.
Experience with SAP, SAPME, TeamCenter enterprise resource planning and lifecycle management software.
