Overview
Audacy San Diego has an immediate opening for an experienced Pregame/Postgame Host on 97.3 The Fan, home of the San Diego Padres. This is a terrific opportunity to be heard across the Padres Radio Network, leading Padres fans up to the first pitch. Following each game, this person will also be responsible for postgame duties across the network. In the offseason, this person will continue to work at the radio station in various programming capacities.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Host the 60-minute pregame and postgame show, also serve as the network's Padres reporter for big events and breaking news.
Work closely with staff to communicate and instill vision of Padres Radio and expectations for programming.
Work with Program Director/Brand Manager and staff on developing appropriate topics and styles for Padres Radio Network.
Schedule guests that will create lively dialogue while engaging the interests of our audience, while representing the Padres Radio brand.
Conduct interviews with players, coaches, office personnel and newsmakers in MLB.
Promote the show, the channel and the company positively on and off the air to maximize the growth of listeners.
Manage and assist creation of Digital Content for Padres Radio including but not limited to Podcast, Blogs, Videos, and Social Media posts.
Qualifications
This candidate MUST have great passion, working knowledge of Major League Baseball and experience covering MLB. The ideal candidate has previous pregame and postgame experience, as well as on-air hosting experience. We're looking for energy, a true love of baseball and the ultimate team player.
