Primary Objective:
To calibrate, maintain, install, troubleshoot, and repair MTS equipment at a customer site. Learns and applies MTS technology and business practices in order to provide quality, on-site customer support.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Manages customer base and business activities to optimize customer satisfaction, efficiency of operation, revenue generation, margin levels, and service contract performance.
Diagnoses equipment problems to the major sub-sections of the system (i.e. controllers, hydraulics, data acquisition systems, transducers, grips, fixtures, etc.) Restores equipment operations.
Performs calibrations relevant to assigned customer base independently.
Coordinates and conducts installation and maintenance activities.
Implements the operational requirements of the MTS Corporate and Field Service Quality System.
Assists as requested to support service sales efforts by being knowledgeable of and understanding strategic goals relative to growth, margin and marketing.
Manages all assigned assets according to company policy (i.e. automobile, financial instruments, and service equipment).
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Vo-tech degree in a technical field or equivalent military training or 11 years relevant technical experience (2 years of which must be servicing MTS or similar equipment)
Experience: 7 years relevant experience, 2 years of which must be in servicing MTS or similar equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
Works under minimal supervision. Fully qualified to work Independently.
Learn and utilize MTS technology and business practices in order to provide on-site customer support. Develop/utilize skills to provide customer support at an integrated system level.
Manages workload and seeks assistance when needed. Mentors Associate FSEs
Manages customer base and business activities to optimize:
Customer satisfaction
Efficiency of operation
Revenue generation
Margin levels
Service Contract performance
Diagnoses equipment problems to the major sub-sections of the system, i.e. controllers, hydraulics, data acquisition systems, transducers, grips, fixtures, etc. Restores equipment operations. Diagnoses subtle systemic problems
Performs calibrations relevant to assigned customer base independently. Performs all calibrations within Scope of Accreditation.
Coordinates and conducts installation activities. Provides Sales support on system up-grades by verifying configuration details
Implements the operational requirements of the MTS Corporate and Field Service Quality System. Utilizes knowledge of the Quality Systems to support customer's lab requirements.
Is knowledgeable of and understands SSD strategic goals relative to growth, margin and marketing. Assists as requested to support IAM, SSE & SE service sales efforts. Utilizes knowledge of goals in customer discussions.
