Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate and facilitate configuration management (CM) meetings and Configuration Review/Control Boards, record meeting minutes, develop presentations, track action items/milestones.

  • Manage NAVSEA formal change proposals in support of Configuration Control Board (CCB).

  • Disseminate information, answer requests for information to CCB stakeholders for adjudication of change requests.

  • Follow through on CCB results for change implementation across Program systems and logistics chain (tech manuals, supply chain documentation, e.g.).

  • Coordinate with various submarine In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA), operational and logistic stakeholders to understand full scope of change proposals.

  • Support Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and Obsolescence Management Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Working Groups.

  • Advise on incorporation of CM processes that relate to issues or cases from the IPTs and working groups.

  • Conduct CM Gatekeeper administrative duties using designated Configuration Management software application, including Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) Review, ECP processing workflow management, Problem Report submissions, support Originators with ECP development, and new user account generation.

  • Support of HM&E and applicable NPES systems, subsystems, equipment, and component configuration changes and facilitate CM processes per applicable Program Office Configuration Management Plans (CMP).

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a current or active DoD Secret security clearance is required at time of application.

  • Have a Bachelor's level degree in a business or technical field and 5 to 7 years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, or a relevant field is required. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirement.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience.

  • Working knowledge of configuration management and modernization/alteration ILS processes and tools.

  • Be a self-starter with significant focus on attention to detail, comfortable with technical details.

  • Be required to have experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer.

  • Have the ability to travel at least 10% of the time.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Have five (5) or more years experience with Navy acquisition and Submarine Programs.

  • Have knowledge of SharePoint.

  • Have Active-Duty experience in the submarine service.

  • Have recent experience in Team Submarine.

  • Have experience with IT resources used to support CM such as CDMD-OA, ATIS, ERP, NTIRA, NDE, eForms, METIS, OneTouch, Haystack, Windchill MBPS, etc.
