VMware is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Tanzu Application Platform (TAP) product team. Our team is building a modern application platform that will catalyze enterprise transformation and enable DevSecOps outcomes on any Kubernetes. The Sr PM for this role will have the opportunity to work across multiple product teams in TAP to drive our Security and Compliance story, and will be primarily focused on platform authentication, authorization and compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Defining the strategy and roadmap for Authentication and Authorization within TAP, working collaboratively with other functions and our users and customers.
Leading cross-team compliance initiatives within TAP.
Understanding business objectives and mapping day-to-day efforts into those business outcomes.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends pertaining to Security and Compliance.
Conducting research to inform problem definition and prioritization.
Working with the team to drive product definition, design and prototyping process to discover customer problems and create valuable, desirable and feasible solutions.
Collaboratively defining and prioritizing a backlog for your product that continuously delivers measurable value towards the vision.
Helping innovate and iterate on agile PM processes and share our insights.
We're looking for candidates who:
5+ years of Product Management experience
Experience with either authentication, authorization or regulatory compliance (bonus if all of the above!)
Able to break down complex problems into simple solutions focused on important customer needs
Focus on data-driven approaches to solving problems
Experience working collaboratively within a balanced team and navigating complex decision making - collaboration is KEY!
Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach others
Experience with Lean and User-Centered Design methodologies
Experience working with Kubernetes is a plus
Positive attitude and strong team players
