Job Summary:
As a Manufacturing Engineering Tech II, you will perform the duties associated and assigned by theManufacturing Engineeringteam in San Antonio, Texas.
What you will do:
Support Manufacturing Engineers - Tool Test, Prototypes, NPI/CPI Projects, Program Changes
Support Operations - Backfill when needed, EMT Assigned Tool Changes, Basic Machine/Gantry Recovery
Engineering Maintenance PM Schedule - Perform Machine & Assembly Cell Monthly PMs on assigned value Stream
Standard Work - Write and update Standard Work
CI Cards - Investigate and Complete any CI Cards assigned
Ability to support/operate most value streams in facility
Ability to troubleshoot most stations (machining & assembly) in facility
Perform On-Line Machining & Assembly Reworks assigned to Engineering
What you will have:
Minimum 1 year experience as Production Team Lead or EMT 1.
Proper use of all PPE required for the task being performed
Basic CNC programming skills
Read and understand part blueprints and drawings (GD&T)
Understand and identify the 8 types of tool wear and how they apply in tool degradation situations.
Using gauges appropriately (micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, bore gauges, pin gauges, etc)
What would make you a top candidate:
LOTO Certified & Dynamic Risk Assessments
Read, understand, and diagnose CMM reports
Use indicators as appropriate where needed
Understanding of the machine and axes attached
Fanuc or Siemens control navigation and use
Know functions of all machines in their assigned value stream, including assembly
Diagnose issue root causes from defects on parts - RCCA.
Basic AutoCAD DWG skills - able to take measurements.
Perform reworks in the machine, to include ones that need to deviate from the program
Ability to perform fixture pickups and assist maintenance with machine issues and crashes.
Disposition & sign off on Hold Tags (Foundry, Machining, Tool Room)
Gantry Recovery and Teach Point Adjustments
Basic CNC Programing and Wear offsets
Read CMM programs & correlate to CNCs
Tool Failure Inspection & Investigation
Tooling Change outs - Line bars, boring bars, work supports, bushings/bearings, etc.
Work Support Repair and Changeout
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
