The SAP Sales Distribution (SD) and Order to Cash Solution Lead will apply business process expertise for the most complex process development projects interfacing with departments, service centers, and/or business unit customer bases worldwide across the multiple Order to Cash ERPs. The incumbent will apply the most advanced process and technology to guide solution design within Order to Cash workstream supporting ERP deployments and corporate strategic transformations to ensure it fulfills business requirements, complements the balance of the process solution, advances the enterprise toward the strategic vision, and minimizes reliance on support.
What You Will Do:
Provide senior level consulting services to business groups on process improvement projects designed to
improve their business results.
Analyze, define, and document client's requirements, and revise existing systems logic challenges, as
necessary.
Collaborate with process partner organizations to have an in-depth understanding of operations within Caterpillar and benchmarked to related corporate and/or industry standards.
Review and provide counsel for all major business case analysis efforts and multi-generational product planning within a process.
Internalize the strategic direction of Caterpillar, design business processes that support requirements, enable the strategic direction, and complement other business process designs.
Based on recognized expertise, provides guidance / recommendations to Process Owners, and is consulted by business areas for input and thoughts.
Based on recognized expertise, is an active participant and can provide project leadership to process partners, management, customers, and project teams on the most complex aspect of process development, system integration, and development methods.
Design high-level test plans within a process optimizing quality and test velocity. Champions User Acceptance sign-off for test cycles of major releases.
Works with process partners and program leaders to develop implementation plans that minimize the operational and cost impact of system or process changes.
Manages process partner groups or deployment sites through the "delta-dip" of process and technology change.
Provides case management support for highly escalated business process related issues.
The position often confronts complex issues or problems that require careful analysis and diagnosis. Problems are often unique, and solutions can require critical thinking and approaches. The incumbent may modify existing processes or develop new solutions. At times, unique solutions must be developed based on the incumbent's knowledge of business processes and business unit needs. The incumbent establishes and then monitors general policies and guidelines for projects under his/her control to ensure specific, management goals are met, and desired results are achieved. The position serves as an advisor/consultant to assist groups with quality improvements in the measure(s) stated.
The incumbent sets priorities and establishes a work plan to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results. The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with 5-10 others. Based on past experiences and knowledge, the incumbent works with minimal management input and review of end results. Typical internal customers include multiple Departments or Business/Service Units. External contacts include suppliers who provide services to Caterpillar.
Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality.
What You Have:
Expert level SAP SD functional consultant with experience in invoices, pricing procedures, sales order conversions, loan processes, configuration (SPRO), and interfaces.
Expert level experience working with business partners understanding business requirements to convert to functional design & specifications.
Expert complex problem solver and work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Info :
The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, Dallas, TX or Nashville, TN

Ability to travel globally up to 40%.
