$2,500 - Non experienced Certified Surgical Technician
$5,000 - 1 to 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician
$7,000 - greater than 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician
The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital will give our community its first-ever wellness destination. Our families and friends will have improved access to nutrition education, exercise resources and state-of-the-art care like they never have before. Position Summary:
The Surgical Tech applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients / clients served (ie: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). Prepares rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment. Assists the surgical team during operative procedures. Opens sterile supplies and sets up for procedures. Prepares rooms between procedures and after terminal cleaning. Monitors and restocks supplies. Drapes patients for procedures, assists with case as directed by physician. Knowledgeable in surgical cases for all services provided. Shares knowledge of scrubbing to educate / mentor peers and new orientees. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Graduate of approved surgical technologist program
Certification as scrub technician preferred, must be able to be certified within 6 months of hire.
BCLS certified
Experience with patient care, sterile technique and/or assisting with medical procedures, preferred
