Summary You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Supply Operations Section of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will identify and promote changes and improvements in policies, methods and systems to promote higher inventory accuracy. You will provide necessary paperwork and packaging of off-station shipments. You will maintain status of material needed for customer support and ensures efficient storage operations. You will arrange expeditious material pick-up and delivery to outlying service areas as well as outside activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience, demonstrated through experience, equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-06 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing technical supply support work necessary to ensure the effective operation on ongoing supply activities utilizing the knowledge of supply operations and program requirements and the ability to apply established supply policies, day-to-day servicing techniques, and regulations, Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Schedules and conducts physical inventory checks for various programs to resolve discrepancies, and perform necessary adjustments to inventory records.2) Receives, reviews, analyzes and verifies supply documentation.3) Compares lists of customers supply requests against stock records for availability of supplies/parts and initiates requisitions for customer support.4) Knowledge of automated supply systems to conduct standard supply actions.5) Coordinates transportation of supply/ materials with customers to assure no delays or discrepancies.
