Summary You will serve as a Materials Handler of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO. The duty station is Lemoore, CA. Responsibilities You will perform the full range of material handling and warehousing functions. You will ship, receive, store, segregate, and inventory hazardous and non-hazardous materials You will read and interpret shipping documents and other documentation used to move, store, and track materials You will operate motor vehicles, forklifts, and other Material Handling Equipment You will work with automated supply and/or inventory systems. The Screen-out Element for this position is the ability to perform the work of a Materials Handler as demonstrated by experience, working under normal supervision receiving, issuing, handling, storing, and inventorying, supplies, equipment, and materials, in accordance with prescribed regulations; performing inspections of incoming shipments to check for damage; documenting discrepancies; reading shipping and tracking documents; complying with prescribed proper handling and storage procedures; following directions to place material in location which provide for maximum space utilization performing the rotation, or relocation of stored items, as directed; using computer systems and/or scanning devices to track material operating forklifts, motor vehicles and materials handling equipment.
