Debt Collector
Job Description
As a Debt Collector, you will execute timely collection and recovery activities to minimize risk costs and optimize returns. Your responsibilities will include identifying and investigating payment arrears in the portfolio, communicating with debtors by telephone and in writing, managing debtors and the arrears process, and recording debtor and arrears history to ensure a complete file for sound decision-making during collection and recovery. You will also identify quality adjustment requests, complete the documentation package, and utilize company underwriting guidelines to approve or reject requests. Additionally, you will take all necessary actions to collect payments and/or terminate accounts.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Johnston, Iowa.
Work Environment
Duration: 6 months with a possibility of extension. Local candidates only (must be within 50 miles of Des Moines, IA office). Required days rotate between Tuesdays and Wednesdays depending on the week, with flexibility provided. In-office attendance requirement is 8 times per month, with the possibility of additional onsite days depending on business needs. Two of these 8 days must be Monday or Friday. Working hours are from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST with some flexibility.
