In the role of Shipper/Receiver you will work as part of a high performing team in a safety centered environment. The role works Monday to Friday, 7am to 3.30pm.
Receive and disburse orders as follows:
Receives items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers.
With a high level of accuracy prepare paperwork to document receipt of incoming materials.
Compares identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order, counts items for verification, and indicates discrepancies.
Maintains computerized inventory data records and paper files.
Notifies proper personnel of incoming materials on a priority basis.
Deliver and store materials to appropriate personnel/area.
Pack and ship orders as follows:
Verify identifying information on order and document received items in recording system.
Check materials for damage.
Assemble and consolidate orders.
Prepare, pick and pack order accurately in accordance with shipping instructions.
Process the shipping transactions and other material movement transactions as needed.
Process and apply shipping and billing labels in accordance with shipping instructions. This includes manual processing along with operating UPS, Fedex and bar coding systems to complete airbills and bills of lading for air and motor freight shipment.
Perform inventory move transactions in ERP
Maintain accurate finished goods inventory
Maintain an inventory of shipping and packing supplies.
Build packing crates within the crating cell for order shipment.
Fold and tape standard and non-standard boxes for packing process.
Help mount, block, and secure large shipments on skids, crates, or boxes as needed.
Perform general housekeeping in area.
Regular attendance and the ability to get along with others in a team environment.
Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.
Support company continual improvement initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience within a warehouse or shipping environment.
Shipping and handling of hazardous material desirable.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate up, down and across the organization.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently with a proactive approach.
Keen attention to detail and able to deliver work accurately.
Ability to deliver work on time and prioritize based on business need.
Proficient in MS Office Suite - inclusive but not exhaustive of Word and Excel, along with generally strong computer proficiency.
Experience with CRM and ERP systems highly beneficial.
Forklift license
Ability to lift 55lbs
Basic Understanding of wood working tools. (Tape Measure, Saws, Drills, Air Stapler)
