Serco is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic team member to join a high-profile and challenging project supporting the US Navy.TheEOD ROV Engineering Technician - Instructorwillprovideengineering,technical,andtrainingservices to develop underwater systems,andsupport Test and Evaluation (T&E)and Operationalevents in a maritime environment for the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) Unmanned Maritime Vehicles Laboratory (UMV Lab)locatedin San Diego, CA.

An active clearance is required to be considered This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain your active Secret Level DoD clearance for the duration of your employment.

You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver high technology Naval systems.You willprovidetechnical supportand instructional trainingfor our customer as part of an integrated team on-site in San Diego, CA.

In this role, you will:

  • Conducts training sessionsin the use of EOD ROV systemsand assists in evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.

  • Prepare training material, conduct classroom and hands-on, in-water operational training for ROV and unmanned maritime systems.

  • Support the development and manage the execution of Program of Record training documents, such as the Navy Training System Plan (NTSP) and Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA).

  • Assists with updating course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance.

  • May work with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features.

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Works under general supervision.

  • Some travel to US Navy training locations within the United States.

  • Must be able to support land and marine based trainingevents.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or an Associated Degree other2-year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related (DoD/USN) experience.

  • Two years of instructional experience leading classroom and hands-on training eventsin the use of unmanned maritime systems.

  • An active Secret level DoD clearance is required prior to employment.

  • Received formal training on EOD ROV systems, or other similar unmanned maritime systems, from original equipment manufacturers, Navy Training courses or NIWC training personnel.

  • Operational and instructional experience with Navy EOD ROV systems (VideoRay Defender, SRS Fusion,SeaBotixvLBV 300) is highly desired.

  • Navy Master Training Specialist or equivalent is preferred.

  • Small boat coxswain or USCG Captains License preferred.

  • Proficient with MS Office products.
