Job Description:

Business Analyst Specialist providing control account management support for the installation, grooming, operation, maintenance, and modification of complex electronic systems installed on land and sea-based platforms. The primary work for this position will be to support installation and maintenance of the Shipboard Data System (SDS) onboard US and UK Submarines, and US and UK shore sites, including new construction shipyard activity.

Responsible for projects and processes the Integrated Technical Solutions group at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL, achieving operational targets for contract projects for the Navy customer.

Assigned tasking requires communication within the Integrated Technical Solutions and Range and Test Solutions groups, as well as coordination with external supporting contractors and Navy customers. Requires guiding, coaching, and training new ITS Managers and RTS Program Managers on control account reporting and management. Support of control accounts requires experience with developing metrics and recommendations to meet business requirements and improve performance.

Requires occasional travel to meet control account management and meeting requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Travel up to 10% of the time to US locations.

  • Conduct control account analysis and reporting for assigned projects.

  • Support occasional weekend work.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate degree and minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • Possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Secret Clearance.

  • 2 years of experience in translating business results into meaningful metrics and recommendations to improve financial and internal project requirements.

  • 2 years' experience in areas requiring a fundamental understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and measuring project performance using earned value (EV) metrics.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability to operate independently with general supervision.

  • Practical knowledge of project management.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to coordinate within the group and with external customers on areas of business analysis responsibility.

  • General analysis, problem solving, and innovation.

  • Ability to review, follow, and provide recommended improvements to systems and processes.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
