Job Description

. Required to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.

. Flexibility is an expectation of this job and workers may be asked to work overtime on weekends. All scheduling is dependent upon the distribution schedule and the distribution manager.

. Possesses the ability to independently plan work activities.

. Able to do computer work through customer portals (training provided).

. Demonstrates the ability to coordinate work activities with that of others as a cooperative member of a Team.

. Experience with the operation of high lift, fork lift and low lift with the appropriate training and certification.

. Responsible for safe and efficient manual organization of items onto skids.

. Assists in finished goods inventory as required.

. Responsible for safe, responsible equipment operation and work practices of self and others.

. Enlisted to maintain a clean working environment.

. Must successfully complete a RFGEN/RF training course.

. Responsible for adhering to all personal safety rules and procedures.

. Responsible for end of shift organization / dock doors, dock locks, communication with supervisor of any late pick-ups.

. Ensures all hazardous material shipment labels are accurately placed on boxes.

. Operates various computer systems (FedEx, WorldShip, JD Edwards and Amazon) as required.

. Must have functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel with ability to produce and maintain spreadsheets, labels, forms and records.

. Ensure each customer order is reviewed to meet specific customer requirements and packed accordingly.

. Ability to interact directly with customer and other departments to streamline shipments.

. Prepare packing slips which will include weight, accurately document the number of boxes per shipment while following customer specific requirements.

. Maintains order until complete, checks for stock updates, shipping information and terms.

. Be flexible to work in other departments packing and processing OEM orders and help with put away with receiving

Education and/or Experience

High School graduate / GED with 2 years of prior shipping experience is required. Must be experienced in driving motorized equipment.

Language Skills

Must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions. Must recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

Mathematical Skills

Must possess the ability to count and make simple arithmetic additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
