Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a High School Student Co-Opposition located in the Franklin, IN facility. This job performs tasks associated with disassembling, cleaning, or assembling engines or engine parts. The employee will work in a team environment and is accountable for his/her own work and safety.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND EXPECTATIONS:
Certain functions within this job category may require:
Physical exertion and effort to safely lift, push or pull components or parts
Standing or sitting at workstations for extended periods of time
Perform safe execution of moving parts with full range of motion
Visual and hearing abilities as appropriate for safe execution of job duties, functions, and tasks
Ability to lift parts weighing up to 35lbs
Frequent bending, reaching, and squatting while performing tasks
Ability to cross reference material to documentation for verification
Ability to read and follow Work Instructions (Standard Operating Procedures)
Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed
Good attendance and punctuality
Ability to work in a Team environment
Flexible to business needs
Willing to be cross trained in multiple areas
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
TOP CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE:
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of engines and engine assembly

This is a Student Trainee position open to C9 High School Juniors and Seniors
The position will be part-time, additional hours may be offered as available - not to exceed 32 total hours per week
