This Field Service Technician will provide On the Job Training instruction on operations, maintenance, and repair of systems. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors. We are open to different locations in the US with accessibility to a transportation hub or airport.
In this role, you will:.
Provide OJT instruction on operations, maintenance, and repair.
Develop, plan, coordinate, and conduct SOVT.
Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to program management.
Support new system installations, integrations, and upgrades.
Install, troubleshoot, maintains and repair products/equipment.
Establish testing protocols and standards, providing training and guidance to engineers and technicians.
Test interoperability of systems, measures transmission/outputs, troubleshoots and resolves issues, and maintains detailed evaluation and repair reports.
Provide innovative solutions to complex functional problems that impact function's success.
Lead tasks, including planning, execution, staff oversight, and status reporting for significant initiatives.
Lead and direct the work of others.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience OR High School Diploma and 2 years of experience.
US Citizenship with an Active Secret clearance.
Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and repair systems as an individual and in team situations.
Ability to assess and respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment.
Ability to promptly respond to telephone and email requests for technical support.
Ability to travel up to 75%.
Additional desired experience and skills (preferred):
Trade school or military training in industrial engineering, electronics technology, information systems, computer science or other related technical field.
2 years of troubleshooting and/or customer service experience providing technical support to engineers in areas of research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement.
