Don't miss this Press Operator role in Lenexa, KS.Press Operator responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Perform a variety of hand and machine operations to cut, trim, sort, assemble, fold, and bind printed materials in a printing plant- Take the printed pages that go into books, magazines, pamphlets, catalogs, and other materials and fold, cut, sew, staple, stitch, and/or glue them together to produce the finished product- Read and understand job related production requirements communicated through a job production ticket and job and plant-wide standard operating procedures- Understand Next Page mailing paperwork and have a good understanding of USPS regulations- Intermediate to high level of knowledge of navigating and using the controls on a number of functional pieces of mailing equipment- Visually review live jobs on mailing equipment and how those machine functions during that specific process- Report time and materials consumption accurately utilizing standard company reporting tools- Troubleshoot and make adjustments to equipment settings- Assist in daily machine startup and shutdown maintenance, and strive to perform periodic maintenancePress Operator requirements:- High school or GED- Stand, walk, bend, twist, grip, reach, push, and pull with both hands- Stand for 8+ hours per day- Regularly lift up to 20lbs, frequently lift up to 50lbs, and occasionally lift up to 75lbs- Use simple math and basic hand-held measuring tools- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals- Strong attention to detail- Read and write English- Perform fast-paced, repetitive work, while staying focused on quality- Adhere to attendance policies and procedures- Ability to read, comprehend, and prepare production worksheets
