Summary You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST In the Supply Support Department (S3D), Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) Technical Division of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PUGET SOUND. Responsibilities You will review and process Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC) Operating Space Allowance and Equipage List (OS/AEL) documents. You will receive, inspect, research, segregate, request disposal of, and provide periodic reports on Oxygen Clean program material. You will inspect and process nuclear ion exchange resin, receive, research, process, and determine the disposition of PSNS excess rip-out material, submarine/surface ships recycle material, and other material being process out of Navy inventory. You will processes incoming carcasses, Not Ready For Issue (NRFI) material, and Ready For Issue (RFI) material to be put back into inventory. You will process DLA Disposition (DRMO) material from outside entities along with warehouse stock when it requested by Item Manager (IM) or expired shelf life and you will upload scanned copies of documents into DOCUSCAN. You will investigate reports of discrepant material, prepare supporting documentation for the appropriate screening and action activities for resolution and disposition instructions. You will research inventory discrepancies, review transaction histories, copies of receipt and issue documents, and interview involved personnel to determine the cause of inventory gains and losses that exceed the prescribed dollar limits. You will prepare Reports of Survey (DD Form 200), and forward them to the appropriate authority for resolution. You will use the information gained from your researching efforts to describe the cause of the errors and recommend procedural changes to prevent recurrence. You will process inventory gains and losses on applicable inventory management systems, and prepare inventory reports as required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing General Supply Specialist work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying process analysis and a practical knowledge of a wide range of well-established supply and inventory management policies and regulations pertaining to Navy Controlled Material Programs requirements and standardized supply operations to perform supply inventory management functions and controls. I utilize automated supply information systems, such as Navy ERP, Material Access Technology (MAT) and or Logistics Data System (LDS) to determine and resolve the causal relationship between inventory discrepancies and supply transactions; and to ensure proper shelf life processing for Controlled Industrial Materials. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Utilizing a working knowledge of Navy Government controlled materials programs such as the Oxygen Clean Program, Level 1, and Controlled Industrial Material (CIM) to properly inventory items and resolve discrepancies: 2) Reviewing and processing Operating Space Allowances and Equipment Lists (OS/AEL) documents in order to verify, transmit, and update approved OS/AEL information and transactions; 3) Receiving, inspecting, researching, segregating, requesting the disposal of, and providing periodic reports on controlled materials programs that may include the Oxygen Clean Program material, Level 1, and CIM; and 4) Verifying Material Identification Code (MIC) number on Level 1 material returns to inspect and segregate turn-in material.
