As a Cat Digital Business Intelligence Analyst, you will join a team which focus on Dealer development through analytics. You will be responsible for providing analysis and insight which will help your division grow profitably. You should have business analytics skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and have knowledge of ETL and database structures. You are comfortable working in challenging environments with a passion for data analytics and how it drives change. By joining the Cat Digital Dealer Support Group, your contributions will drive the next generation of decision making at Caterpillar. The Digital Excellence Program (DEP) is the result of collaborative work among Cat Digital, DSDs, industry partners, and dealers. Driven by voice of business and dealers, it focuses on dealer metrics necessary to drive increased aftermarket growth, services, and customer loyalty.

The Digital Excellence Program (DEP) measures how Cat Dealers are executing against Caterpillar's digital strategy and digital model. It aims to assess and improve dealer digital capabilities and performance and measures dealer adoption of key digital capabilities and tools, as well as the degree to which dealers are leveraging them in their core business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers and documents user/client requirements, supports the development and testing of new metrics for the Digital Excellence Program (DEP), collects client feedback, troubleshoots issues, and makes improvements.

  • Supporting the category owners and stakeholders in building up the logic for the metrics

  • Refining views based on feedback, ensuring accuracy and functionality

  • Updating, creating, and supporting tables and reports

  • Applies ETL processes for data from various types of data sources

Skills:

  • Utilizing tools such as PowerBI or Tableau to assesses data outputs while identifying issues and partnering with appropriate business teams to create a solution.

  • Working with internal and external business teams to gather feedback and reflect this information through dashboards and reports.

  • Reviews large sets of data from various sources and troubleshoots issues

  • Applies data analysis and data modeling techniques to establish, modify, and maintain business data structures and associated components.

  • Creates analysis reports to assist decision-making at for the business at all levels

  • Knowledge of database structures; ability to organize and store data in a particular data structure.

  • Knowledge of ETL processes

Top candidates will have :

  • 2+ years of experience

  • Prior experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

  • Experience working with Programming languages or scripting such as Python, or SQL

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business analytics, statistics, information management or related fields

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
