Currently we have an opening for a Lead Financial Analyst that will work closely with the Division FBO across multiple programs. The job duties for the Lead Financial Analyst are broken down into two distinct aspects of the role:
Financial Planning and Forecasting:
Lead the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financials plans.
Collaborate with various business units to gather data, understand trends, and provide accurate financial projections.
Analyze variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts to identify key drivers and provide actionable insights
Support program and project financial management, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, profitability, cash and balance sheet analysis, backlog
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and variances.
Analyze financial results and provide insights on business performance, identifying opportunities and risks
Develop financial models for scenario analysis, strategic planning, and decision-making support
Work closely with business unit leaders, program managers, program finance analysts and other stakeholders to provide financial guidance, support decision-making, and drive financial performance at the portfolio level
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and prepare business cases for new opportunities, investments, and cost-saving initiatives.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities.
Develop and maintain financial planning tools, models, and dashboards to streamline reporting processes.
Collaborate with accounting, contracts, and pricing teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment with company objectives.
Lead Program Financial Analyst responsibilities:
Responsibilities include EAC management, budgeting, forecasting, managing subcontractor hours, costs, and funding needs, as well as analysis of all contract cost and financial data.
Developing and driving financial forecasts and analyzing the program's revenue and costs
Communicating key business insights and recommendations to achieve the program's current and future goals and making specific recommendations that will result in cost reduction and profit/process improvements
Supporting program invoicing and funding deliverables
Managing the month-end close process and performing variance/trend analyses
Supporting growth initiatives
Performing program-level risk management assessments
The position requires strong organization, analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Successful candidate must evaluate, monitor, and implement policies, practices, and functional performance standards
In addition, candidate must possess the ability to work independently, in a team environment, with various organizational levels and manage multiple priorities
Candidate will help drive innovation and automation.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience leading teams or projects
Comprehensive Program Finance experience; familiar with multiple contract types
Detail-oriented, independent worker, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Must have strong Microsoft Excel experience and government contracting experience
Project Insight experience (Oracle planning tool)
Bachelor's Degree and 4-8 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Leidos Financial Systems and Contract Setup Processes
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Power Pivot, Power BI, Power Query
Business Case Experience
Integrated cost/Schedule analysis experience
International contracting experience

Pay Range:
Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
