The Sr. Product Manager will have responsibility to deliver digital products that help power Inspire's Restaurant technology. This position will play a critical role in driving the 12-18 months roadmap for Team Member facing digital solutions within our restaurants. Key responsibilities include the intake and prioritization of business opportunities, assessing business cases for capital investment, defining core business requirements, and overseeing the delivery of technology solutions from internal and external partners.
The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset and possesses the ability to execute complete tasks and projects effectively. They will regularly review competitive landscape and business trends, develop roadmap of business/strategic opportunities through prioritization and sequencing deliverables, communicate vision and objectives to business stakeholders and engineering partners to establish cross-functional alignment, constantly balance deliverables against capital budget and engineering capacities, provide transparencies into progress of work while monitoring business impact, and report out key learnings and future plans per results.
In our fast-paced environment we often must switch gears at a moment's notice and take effective action without having to know the total picture. They will react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround. An ideal candidate would have a mix of experience in product management, program management, or solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Discover opportunities to create and improve restaurant technology products that improve team member and operator satisfaction.
Prioritize opportunities based on data and evidence gathered from varying parts of the business
Define and create detailed product requirements for use internally and externally.
Proactively lead x-functional team of senior leaders and business teams within Inspire (including Ops Innovation, Tech Ops, Solutions Architecture, Finance, Legal, and Brand teams) to assess and define robust solution requirements.
Lead and manage the development of technology products, through entire product life cycle, from roadmaps to end-of-life and deprecation.
Lead proof of concept initiatives with multiple vendors to identify solutions that meet the business needs.
Manage complex program planning needs, working with product development, technology, training delivery teams.
Define, develop, launch, and oversee quality of robust solution education programs and workshops for different audiences (team member, partners, etc.)
Define and manage KPIs to evaluate product effectiveness and propose adjustments to improve performance and ensure objectives are met
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
4-year Degree required in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 4+ years of experience of product management practices, agile methodologies, and test-driven development experience.
Demonstrated thought leadership in solving operator-facing digital experience opportunities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, or ABILITIES
Deep understanding of IoT based restaurant equipment, Audio/Video technology, Machine Interface Devices, and Loss Prevention solutions used to enhance our team members experience and automate essential facility and operational functions.
Strong analytical skills and an ability to lead data-driven discussions to drive alignment around prioritization and impact
Equipped with the digital technical fluency to be capable of understanding technical constraints and prioritizing and discussing tradeoffs between development and business teams
Knowledge of the range of activities related to the product development lifecycle (e.g. opportunity identification, product discovery, project execution, and post launch performance measurement and management)
Deep knowledge of agile delivery principles
Ability to translate data-driven insights, business intent, customer needs, and/or technical direction into clear, concise, well-documented product requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills - capable of communicating in a way that conveys a clear understanding of the unique needs of widely varying audiences
Excellent problem-solving skills - ability to adapt quickly to changing business priorities and overcome unexpected challenges
Strong project/workflow management, prioritization, and negotiating skills
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and deliver results; conscientious about meeting project deadlines
