This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Delivery Associate for our Lawrenceville, New Jersey office. The following locations will also be considered: Morristown, NJ/ Philadelphia, PA/ Herndon, VA. Be involved in projects with our Project Delivery and Operations Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • The successful candidate will be conversant in financial terms and metrics and have experience in reviewing these and identifying potential risks, concerns and items for business management leaders to focus on for successful project delivery.

  • A good communicator who can be proactive with project managers in all phases of the project delivery life cycle from proposals to project close out.

  • Review and provide guidance on contracts and change order characteristics, including reading and interpreting contract language, method of compensation, modifications, purchase orders, and subcontract/consultant terms.

  • Participate in the review and approval of pricing that establishes achievable financial targets while being in alignment with business strategy and goals.

  • Promote and monitor project plans and processes that address safety, quality, risk management, and overall project management.

  • Lead the set up and conduct project reviews for high risk/large value/alternative delivery projects and identify risks/mitigations with any necessary follow up.

  • Support the identification of projects that need corrective action plans, support project managers with plan development, and monitor high-risk projects working with the project managers, local leaders, and regional leaders to ensure successful margin preservation.

  • Candidate will take part in training project managers with tools to successfully manage profitable projects while providing quality deliverables to clients.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources that adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field.

  • 1-3+ years of relevant post education experience.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite of programs.

  • Experience working on projects with responsibility for cost and schedule control and reporting internally within the company.

  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.

  • Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

  • Demonstrated ability in risk identification and mitigation skills.

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.

  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
