Great career ladder opportunities. $1000 sign-on bonus.PRODUCT TESTING LAB/PRODUCT CONTROL LABELING TECH I (PTL/PCL LAB TECH I)Performs as a member of the Laboratory Team.Supports organizational and departmental quality efforts by accepting responsibility for:Reporting any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system, andParticipating in implementation of solutions to problems.Adheres to the following mission statements related to the following:Organizational: To provide blood and support services that meets the needs of the recipients, donors, physicians, and hospitals.Production and Distribution: As a team, we produce, test and supply the right products at the right time to recipients/hospitals, while utilizing safety and quality standards through the joint efforts of an engaged and motivated staff.Product Testing and Quarantine Lab: As a team, we perform quality control through the analysis, quarantine, and release of lifesaving products to ensure safety, purity, and potency in an efficient and timely manner.Essential Functions:PTL FunctionsPerform all functions of PTL/PCL Assistant.Independently performs review of tasks.Performs startup, shutdown, and maintenance on analyzers.Performs product testing using all analyzers.Enters pheresis information into the computer which may include data interpretation.Process products according to results of product testing.Troubleshoots and anticipates problems, acts on the problems in an appropriate manner to ensure the product is safe, potent, and pure.Satisfy our customers with a safe, reliable, consistent product and service the first time, every time.Performs monthly inventory of supplies and products, and order as needed.PCL FunctionsLabel all product typesAssist with generating reports, as needed.Requirements:Bachelor of Science (Biology, Chemistry or other related Science. Must provide a copy of the transcript.Lab experience helpful.Six months as PTL/PCL Tech I.Take call and work weekends as needed.Skills and Knowledge:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to solve problems and work independently within the scope of the task.Ability to work with others in a team environment and individually.Excellent organizational skills.Computer skills.Knowledge of FDA, CLIA, AABB and OSHA regulations.
