Position Description
Pilots demonstrate excellent customer service while providing safe, efficient, and effective aerial transportation in support of the strategic business objectives and initiatives of Southern Company and its subsidiaries.
Position Location
. Dekalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK) in Atlanta, Georgia
. Must currently reside, or being willing to relocate, within 55 miles of PDK*
Minimum Qualifications
Captain
. Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate, with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
. Flight Hours:
. First-Class FAA Medical Certificate (Must be able to acquire)
Formal Education Requirements
. High School Diploma, or equivalent.
. College Degree Desirable
Job Role Description
Perform Pilot-In-Command (PIC) and/or Second-In-Command (SIC) duties, as defined in the General Operations Manual (GOM) and operate according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
Must be a cooperative team player who exhibits high levels of interpersonal skill and emotional intelligence
Applicants must possess strong analytical reasoning and critical thinking skills. The successful applicant will have demonstrated the ability to solve complex problems in in rapidly evolving, dynamic environments
Must accept flexible and dynamic schedules, including early mornings, late nights, weekend flights and overnight travel
Be willing to accept temporary assignments at other company domiciles, on occasion
Must have excellent communications skills
Must be able to interact appropriately with executive level customers
Participate in, and actively support, the Safety Management System (SMS) and ISBAO Standards
Personally, and professionally, model all aspects of company culture - Safety First, Unquestionable Trust, Superior Performance, and Total Commitment
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot
