Responsibilities
FTI is looking for a Data Analyst experienced in transforming data into actionable business insights and recommendations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in assessing data quality, developing data collection processes and governance, and managing data from various sources. This role relies heavily on strong communication skills, including the ability to provide clear recommendations to leadership, influence organizational change, and work cross-functionally with multiple contractors and Government. Knowledge in space sensors and data services is a plus. The Data Analyst will support the USSF Space Systems Command's Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) program to:
Provide robust program insights and recommendations through the analysis of project performance data including, but not limited to, schedule, scope, and software quality
Present clear and easily understandable data findings and recommendations to internal and external customers and program leadership
Analyze and create visuals from Jira data using FTI technologies and various business intelligence platforms
Develop and automate reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions
Evaluate data quality, maturity, and integrity; provide recommendations for improvement of data collection and management
Collaborate with program leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance
Document analysis processes for replication by stakeholders
Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data management, and data cleansing
Coordinate with product owners and software developers to log enhancements and test new releases of FTI technology capabilities
Assist with identifying, setting up, and managing company Internal Research and Development projects for existing and new technology solutions
Provide technical business development support as needed
Travel to Government sites, Contractor sites, and other FTI sites is expected to be 10% of normal operational duties
Education/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (business, data analytics, or related field)
5+ years actively working in a data analytics field
5+ years' experience with analytical/business intelligence tools
Experience with management and collaborative tools such as Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint
Experience with Agile software development
Experience structuring course of action assessments, facilitating cost-benefit analyses, and conducting business case analysis
Skilled at analyzing, visualizing, and telling stories with data
Experience with space systems and military customers, terminology, and processes preferred
Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Able to communicate clearly and concisely
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Top Secret security clearance
