The Business Development Manager will play a critical part in all acquisition-related activities for Driven Brands, particularly in sourcing new deals. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, cultivating relationships with executives at acquisition prospects, and building supporting analytics to underwrite acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling and deal-oriented skills, as well as a strong phone presence. Through various responsibilities, the position will have exposure to all brands and functions of the Driven Brands organization.
Day-to-day tasks will involve researching prospective acquisition targets, proactively calling on prospects to discuss transaction scenarios, screening potential deals against requirements, organizing and reviewing diligence materials, analyzing data for underwriting, and creating presentation materials for senior management and deal teams. Successful candidates are those who can prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Bachelor's degree required with 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, business development or real estate.
Strong, confident, communication skills; comfortable making introductions to prospective targets and exercising discretion in negotiation environments.
Excellent interpersonal style, good listening skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Understanding of finance and accounting concepts, with exposure to mergers and acquisitions preferred.
Innovative and strategic thinker with strong analytical, logical structuring, and problem solving skills.
Motivated self-starter who is willing to work independently and with teams to deliver results.
Comfortable working in fast-paced environment, across small and large transactions, while juggling multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Past experience reviewing and/or interpreting legal documentation is a plus.
