Job Description:
The Space and Airborne Segment Engineering HR Business Partner will provide support for a matrixed, geographically-dispersed population across several U.S. sites. A true partner in driving business results by understanding the client area's strategic plans and initiatives to provide value-added recommendations. They will partner with all levels of leadership from front-line supervisors to executives, as well as the overall employee population. Responsible for understanding and executing on the human capital objectives and needs of the business across multiple HR workstreams including staffing, leader development, compensation planning, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, change leadership, employee engagement, retention, and diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I).
Essential Functions:
Successful candidate will:
Build and maintain effective working relations with management and employees to provide advice and counsel to both on employee-related and organizational matters;
Identify and diagnose issues proactively and develop, recommend, and implement root cause solutions that enhance employee engagement/experience and business results in a timely manner;
Partner with client groups to build and execute on talent actions to meet overall business strategy, objectives and goals;
Analyze data and metrics to support recommendations to the leadership team for continuous improvement;
Participate in/lead projects across Engineering and HR functions;
Collaborate with HR Center of Excellence, matrixed HR counterparts, and functions such as Legal, Ethics, Environmental Health & Safety, and Security
Participate and/or lead projects and special initiatives within and outside the HR function.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum four (4) years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of eight (8) years of prior related experience.
Three (3) years of experience in the following areas: performance management, employee engagement, retention, staffing, compensation, engagement & inclusion, and leadership coaching.
Two (2) years of experience in employee relations
Experience with internal customer-facing activities including facilitation and communication.
