Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement, this role is to provide support to multiple Windows Operations sites in the U.S. with improvement of processes and procedures for safety, quality, cost, and product delivery. This entails designing and implementing projects to improve cost, capacity/efficiency, and working capital in windows manufacturing plants across the U.S. _OBJECTIVES:_ * Partner with Plant Managers and site personnel on continuous improvement programs that allow the plants to operate more effectively. These efforts will increase throughput, decrease costs, and improve the overall quality system at each plant * Generate and/or provide supporting data analysis to management for capital equipment justifications for manufacturing operations enhancements * Provide data analysis to ensure quality business decisions are made. Generate data/information for production departments so that they can better lead their areas and help identify process improvement opportunities. * In partnership with operational leaders, ensure project cost and schedule targets are achieved, managing the implementation of projects and lean initiatives with teams. * Act as a change agent; drive change and influence others with implied authority within the organization to make sustainable and measurable process improvements. * Establish and grow communication channels with division leadership, site leadership, and support functions that support overall strategy and culture of continuous improvement * Leverage best practices across sites and throughout the organization when implementing improvements * Lead project execution through completion with a hands-on attitude to drive the continuous improvement culture on the shop floor. * Understand the following tools of Continuous Improvement; * - Process Map * - Value Stream Mapping * - SIPOC * - FMEA * - Control Plans * - Toyota Production System * - A3 Problem solving Methodology * - 8D Problem Solving Methodology * - Constraint Identification * - 5 Why root cause analysis * - Fishbone diagram analysis * - Statistical Data analysis using Minitab * - Kanban * - SMED * - Error Proofing _KEY RELATIONSHIPS:_ * Window Plant Management * On site Continuous Improvement Leaders and operations personnel/engineers _EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:_ * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent background with minimum of five year experience in manufacturing process operations. * Five plus years of experience involving Lean Transformation. * Operations leadership / supervision experience preferred #Indeed-Associated All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
