JOB SUMMARY:

  • Independently coordinate team members' work assignments and activities of the functional area of assignment. Leads and plans development of solutions to customer related requests and/or system problems. Independently collaborate with business partners, specialists, architects and suppliers to determine project scope, goals and ensure functional area of assignment standards are met.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independently receives department goals as provided, makes them actionable for workgroup implementation and coordinates team members to achieve department objectives.

  • Provides leadership and direction to the team members with limited to no assistance from the Manager.

  • Provides assistance and training to coworkers and mentors employees assigned to the functional area.

  • Provides input to the Manager in the PMP process of team members.

  • Serves as a team member responsible for administration of team processes.

  • Independently leads, plans and executes established development and support processes, including but not limited to, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) or related methodologies.

  • Independently leads and plans interaction with business partners to establish/execute roadmaps, gather requirements for technical solutions and troubleshoots system related issues.

  • Independently fosters and maintains a close relationship with other functional areas to assure that cross-functional processes are coordinated and running appropriately.

  • Plans and implements recommendations for major improvements to existing processes and procedures.

  • Advises and works with the manager in development of process measurement systems, trains team members on the effective use of the measurement systems and assures that team members are utilizing these systems as established.

  • Advises and works with the manager to develop and deploy systems and solutions that are used by FPD globally.

  • Advises and participates in the annual business planning and leads interactions with vendor(s) relationships.

  • Independently plans, conducts and coordinates assignments across multiple functional areas, involving large or more complex work assignments. Reviews progress and evaluates results, which are communicated to the appropriate Manager and key stakeholders.

  • Identifies, plans and works to automate tasks and processes with scripting and automation tools.

  • Stays current with industry trends and technologies (e.g. certifications, industry groups, etc.).

  • Ensures availability when necessary for off-shift and weekend support functions.

  • Incorporates enterprise security standards into functional area.

  • Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.

  • Understands the Harassment policy of the company and for its application in all aspects of employment.

  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to independently apply SDLC, ITSM or related methodologies (e.g. plans, creates and executes system health plans, change control plans and leads change activities to ensure system quality).

  • Advanced ability and willingness to learn new technologies.

  • Advanced ability to independently plan and execute technical roadmaps.

  • Advanced ability to independently interact with vendors and suppliers.

  • Advanced ability to successfully lead process improvement or development teams.

  • Advanced ability to successfully lead program and/or software project development teams.

  • Advanced ability to perform advanced work of the functional technical area of assignment.

  • Advanced knowledge of procedures and operations of the functional business areas.

  • Advanced ability to identify systems deficiencies and recommend and develop new software/programs to correct the deficiencies in a timely manner.

  • Advanced knowledge of computer operations systems.

  • Advanced knowledge of computer software and how to implement such software across applications, infrastructure and security functional areas.

  • Advanced ability to lead technical interactions with emphasis on resolution (e.g. SWAT, Root Cause Analysis and related technical sessions including internal and/or external participants).

  • Demonstrated ability to reinforce high quality standards driven by company objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain an environment conducive to collaboration across corporate business units and service divisions.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply basic math and data analysis skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A 4-year college or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study.

  • Minimum of 7 to 9 years of enterprise technology experience is recommended.

  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
