Duties :
Support VMware Sales teams in customer engagements, from pre-sales to post sales troubleshooting of VMware & SASE solutions. Understand strategic and tactical business requirements and distill down to a technical solution that includes SD-WAN/SASE, then recommend the High-Level Design (HLD) and best practices to successfully deploy it. Work with Product Management & Engineering teams to define the overall solution, ensuring that it aligns with the broader VMware strategy of moving towards SaaS solutions. Design, build and maintain solution integration labs for validating designs, testing integration, and reproducing issues. Develop and publish best practices and design guides.
Requirements : Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related technical/quantitative field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or related position. In the alternative, employer will accept Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related technical/quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related position.
Employer requires at least six (6) of the following skills gained through industry experience:
Programing languages such as Go, Java or C;
Scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, or Perl;
Networking in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), switching, QoS, or IPSec;
Enterprise networking design and architecture such as WAN Edge, Core or Internet Edge;
Enterprise networking products and technologies including routers, switches, firewall, VPN concentrator, Wireless LAN, hypervisors, Windows or Linux;
Firewalling concepts, such as IDS/IPS, UTM, ZTNA, applied either locally or cloud;
Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S. Multiple Openings. Travel required 50% of the time within the U.S.
