Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, procurement, and material and equipment tracking, ensuring efficient and effective supply chain management.
Your Impact
Coordinate logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Oversee procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management.
Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to streamline logistics operations.
Prepare and analyze reports on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies regarding logistics and procurement.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers.
Develop, process and track SPOT and SAR request.
Ensure all custom requirements are met for OCONUS shipments.
Attend weekly production meetings as required on Japan Standard Time.
Will travel to supply or loading/unloading locations as well as project sites possibly outside the US. Approximately 10% overnight travel required.
Support updating project schedules based on material arrival.
Maintain updated procurement tracking logs for all assigned projects (POE to POD).
Coordinate with vendors during proposal development.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
5 - 7 years + relevant experience.
Proven experience in logistics and procurement (5+ years preferred).
Project Management Professional qualified.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in logistics software (SMS, ESS, GATES or GDSS) and MS Office Suite.
Strong communications and negotiation skills.
Hazmat handling and preparation qualified.
Familiar with USTRANSCOM operations.
Ability and willingness to travel to supply or loading/unloading locations as well as project sites possibly outside the US. Approximately 10% overnight travel required.
