The Doe Run company is seeking a Production Superintendent to Oversee the lead (Pb) and lead alloy operations at the Doe Run Buick Resource and Recycle Division. The successful candidate will coordinate activities that support Doe Runs best business practices, and be part of a team that ensures the asset value of BRRD is maximized while staying true to Doe Run Culture and Values. This position is located at our Resource Recycling Plant located in Boss, Missouri.Responsibilities:Manage operations teams in various departments.Lead department Safety and Environmental performance, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and complying with company policies.Identify, hire, train and supervise the employees to sustain a quality work force for the furnace and refining unit operations.Conduct timely performance reviews, and provide coaching and development opportunities for direct reports, manage succession planning for teams lead.Develop an optimized department budget and forecast and operate within the forecast.Identify and implement changes to the business to support continuous improvement and expansion initiatives.Assist with customer issues and quality assurance, review sales projections, develop schedules, and ensure products are processed and shipped in a timely manner.Other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:5 years of industry and operations management experiencePrior management experienceTechnical degree or accredited post-secondary education.Hazardous waste and lean manufacturing certifications preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong computer skills, including MicrosoftOffice Suite, Adaptive, I-Series, PeopleSoft, and SAPAbility to drive staff and department performanceKnowledge of safety policies and regulationsKnowledge of lean principlesKnowledge and practice of general chemistryAbility to identify opportunities and build systems for operational functions.Ability to wear company provided personal protective equipment including but not limited to: a respirator, coveralls and metatarsal guard boots.Work Environment and Physical Requirements:Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions and wet, humid, hot, or cold (non-weather) conditions.Occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts and in confined spaces.Regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to, fall protection, a respirator, hearing protection, and eyewear.May be exposed to loud noise levels.Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time, talk and hear.Rarely required to use repetitive motion and reach with hands/arms.Requires clarity of vision and three-dimensional vision.Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.Based in St. Louis, The Doe Run Company is a privately held natural resources company and one of the largest integrated lead producers in the Western Hemisphere.
