WHO WE ARE: TheHallmark Visitors Centeris a 10,000 square-foot facility that is open to the public free of charge six days per week. Visitors take tours through 14 exhibit areas that change frequently to provide a captivating customer experience that personifies the Hallmark brand. Kaleidoscope is a creative art exhibit for children and their families, that is offered free (six days per week), as a public service for the purpose of encouraging creativity. It is housed in a 9,000 square-foot facility in Crown Center Square. Activities and displays change regularly to provide a fresh experience to children, teachers, and parents.Kaleidoscopealso serves as a working lab for Hallmark teams who develop children's product. WHAT YOU WILL DO: TheHallmark Visitors Center + Kaleidoscope Manageroversees the operations, customer experience and staff who serve over 250,000 visitors annually. The two facilities often present Hallmark's first impression to the public. The Manager is responsible for conceiving and project managing the experience, as well as the day-to-day operations from a facilities management/safety standpoint and creating and maintaining a customer experience that personifies the brand. THE HALLMARK VISITOR CENTER + KALEIDOSCOPE MANAGER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR: Developing and maintaining annual goals, budgets, and operation plans to maximum benefit. Acting on insights from guest interactions and survey responses to develop programs and exhibits that enhance the experiences, both in person and virtual, and encourage repeat visitors. Anticipates changes in HVC guests' or children's educational needs and interests and responds by working with the HVC/K team to envision and craft improvements. Identifies collaborative opportunities between the two attractions. Partnering with other organizations, including Crayola, the Hallmark Channel, and Crown Center, to build inspiring programs that positively represent Hallmark. Oversees the development of these opportunities and provides leadership and vision to bring them to life. Collaborates with internal teams such as Hallmark's Creative department and outside expert consultants when appropriate. Supporting and provides development opportunities for direct and indirect reports, (individual employees, as well as team building). Creates a positive and motivating environment and ensures a cooperative team atmosphere. Demonstrating outstanding public relations skills. Introduces guests to the attractions and oversees their experience to ensure safety and security. This includes working Saturdays, days surrounding holidays and days when Hallmark's corporate offices may be closed. Assists in hosting receptions, events, and VIP tours at both attractions. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS The following is required to be considered for this role: Bachelor's Degree Experience managing people/strong interpersonal and managerial skills Experience managing a public attraction Affinity for arts-inspired exhibitions Ability to concurrently manage overlapping attractions and shared audiences/guests Experience working within budget and time constraints to accomplish goals PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Your resume and portfolio will stand out if you have: 10+ years in an entertainment-type attraction with increasing levels of responsibility and people management Demonstrated history of innovative marketing strategies to generate additional interest and visits Knowledge of digital/social media marketing strategies and tactics to engage out-of-town audiences Ability to interpret audience survey responses and modify offerings to better suit/delight visitors
