Job Summary:The Finance and Insurance Manager sells new and used vehicle buyers financing and insurance programs. Finance and Insurance Manager also work with financial lenders to give fair interest rates to buyers and programs. As with all positions within dealerships, Finance and Insurance Manager managers are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards. Finance and Insurance Managers are the leader for the team, the captain of the deal, and the last one to verify that everything is accurate and correct.Duties/Responsibilities: Offering vehicle financing and insurance to customers and providing them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties and a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies. Seeking new lending institutions and maintaining good working relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs. Processing financing and leasing deals accurately and securing approval through financial sources; secure approval through the proper federal, state, and corporate channels. Understanding and complying with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle and finance departments. Creating and maintaining a program with the sales department that will ensure all new sales are referred to the FandI department. Training and providing the sales team with information on finance and lease programs and the benefits of the dealerships financing and extended service programs. Performs other related duties as required.Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional computer and typing skills. Good time management skills. Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills. Comprehensive industry knowledge Management experience Strong customer-facing skills Self-motivated Troubleshooting 2 years automotive experience and 1 year in a management position A strong background in business, mathematics, marketing is also useful. Degree in Business (Finance) or Administration (recommended but not required)Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
