Job summary:
This role is responsible for process ownership including other Manufacturing Engineering related item within Medium V product value streams. This includes project management, new capital introduction, and all elements related to People Quality Velocity Cost within the value stream. This position requires knowledge of process planning systems, manufacturing concepts, data analysis, and diesel engine function that is gained through acquisition of an appropriate technical or university degree or equivalent experience.
What you will do:
Support of current process, production and component process changes are in scope.
Develop project proposals by creating cost estimates, technical specifications, identifying and qualifying suppliers, soliciting bids from qualified suppliers, performing project site audits, developing technical evaluations, and work area layouts.
Manage capital projects from concept to implementation for new processes, assembly, test, and tooling, etc. for assigned area.
Provide capital forecasting correlation and reporting as it relates to NPI, capacity increases, equipment and/or systems replacement, and methods and/or process improvement.
Other activities include participating in 6 Sigma initiatives, strategy development, and supporting cost reduction goals.
What you must have:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an Engineering or Engineering Technology AND 2+ years of manufacturing experience OR 6+ years of manufacturing experience
Proficiency with MS Office; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Ability to design, evaluate, and modify fixtures/tooling for manufacturing
Have the ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently
Top candidates will also have:
Demonstrated working knowledge of FMEA's, SPC, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, Error Proofing, and Root Cause Analysis through project completions
Lean OR Six Sigma certifications
Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and project planning skill
