Position Description
Serco-NA has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development(BD) Marketing Manager. This position reports directly to the Business Development Vice President for our METS Business Unit and is located at Serco's New Jersey Ave, Washington DC Office at the Navy Yard location. In concert with METS business strategy, provide market research, opportunity identification, and synergy coordination to support to capture, solutioning, and proposal development throughout the Serco opportunity life-cycle. Must be well organized to gather, assess, and validate customer requirements, and work closely with operational personnel to support business development activities throughout the opportunity life-cycle.
In this role you will:
Assist with the management of capture activities to include white papers, RFIs, sources sought, workshops, gap analysis, call plans, solutioning, content planning, gate reviews, black hat sessions, collaboration sessions, and proposal preparation, schedules, and reviews.
Provide support to senior managers in the areas of strategy, budgets, plans, and reporting.
Assist with industry event coordination, develop market material for Serco capabilities.
Must quickly develop the ability to obtain a broad knowledge of Serco's products and services, as well as the needs of current and potential customers, and assist with establishing strategic direction or finding opportunities from that knowledge.
Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision, and establish a good working relationship with technical staff, division managers, and peers within METS and across Serco.
Possess the willingness and ability to provide effective coaching, mentoring, and training for Business Development related topics
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
BS/BA degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience or master's with 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Ability to work efficiently in dynamic, time-sensitive and often multi-tasking environment.
Ability to efficiently use automated tools such as Microsoft Office to present ideas, integrate information, and reports.
Ability to travel, as necessary in support of an opportunity pursuit.
The ability to obtain a secret clearance is a plus
