Summary:

Join a team of welders at Hartness and learn all the skills needed to be a first-class welder. You will be working with various materials in the weld shop, welding parts for orders by the blueprint drawings or welding large Frames. You be running miller welding equipment welding the parts needed daily per schedules and shop goals. At Hartness we provide a great team working atmosphere, learning all concepts of the welding trade. You will get to weld parts and clean from start to end. You will receive the components, weld the parts and clean them. Once order is complete you will do a final QC inspection process.

What you will do:

  • You will weld parts to Blueprints with weld symbols

  • You will use different size welds per jobs.

  • You will learn material code specifications for orders needed made.

  • You will receive components to make parts with blueprints.

  • You will run Mig and Tig welding equipment.

  • You will be welding large Frames in the Fab shop.

  • You will learn how to go through the QC Inspection process of parts at Hartness.

  • You will learn 5's Lean Manufacturing.

  • You will learn about the 80/20 concept.

  • You will learn how to understand and follow all safety rules of the shop.

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in welding.

  • Experience use of welding equipment Tig, Mig, Program and Operate Robot welding.

  • Experience of Quality Control of own parts / reading prints.

  • A mechanical minded person that is a welder.

  • You understand how the equipment functions of each type of welders.

  • Must be able to read and understand calipers.

  • Understanding of basic measurements / tape measurements.

  • Must be willing to be trained and listen to the trainers.

  • Understand the importance of attendance and punctuality on the job.

  • Critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and repair issues in an effective manner.

  • Multitasking capability with ability to identify and execute priority tasks.

  • Attention to detail

  • Understand wire thickness requirements on prints.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
