Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Division of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will serve as the Regional interface to Navy - Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP), or similar software engineers/programmers. You will coordinate with major area commands in the development of new Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) initiatives integrated with Regional planning, to enhance program management. You will directly oversee and monitor all detailed day-to-day aspects of Hazardous Material Center operations. You will serve as the Deputy Regional HAZMAT Program Manager. You will provide formal and informal training on various N-ERP courses such as: Warehouse Operations and Supervision, Material Movement Operations and Supervision, and other related courses. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a broad knowledge of supply principles, concepts and methodologies directly related to Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT). I also have experience with the Navy Supply System sufficient to allow for further development and implementation of a warehousing system for a variety of HAZMAT - including the receipt, issue, transportation of HAZMAT and disposal of hazardous waste. My experience includes providing advice, guidance and assistance to others, as well as the ability to resolve various problems that may occur in the workplace; I am also able to monitor others work and provide plans of action and necessary training to ensure an effective HAZMAT program. I have a comprehensive knowledge of both the: 1) Hazardous Material Control and Management Program and 2) Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program, including both of their regulations, directives and policies at the Federal, state, local and regional level. I also have expert experience handling multiple information management systems such as: N-ERP and Hazardous Material Resource Information System (HMIRS). Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Ensuring compliance with supply procedures, guidelines and regulations pertaining to HAZMAT supply support; 2) Contributing to the analysis of supply metrics and operations to resolve difficult issues and problems involving work methods, supply information management, and to determine overall HAZMAT supply effectiveness; 3) Utilizing a broad range of computer applications, including supply databases, to perform inventory management functions; 4) Assigning work to others based on priorities, selective consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees or team members; and 5) Identifying developmental and training needs of employees, and providing the necessary training.
