FTI is looking for a highly qualifiedDeputy Program Managerin Pittsburgh, PA. We have an exciting opportunity to work with our Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C) customer on cross functional program teams to expand AI into all areas of the US Army. This individual will have the opportunity to work with our client and other stakeholders on some of the most advanced technology in the world and work with an organization that is on the threshold of the future and will help forever change the way the Army operates. The Deputy Program Manager must be able to work closely with the client and other stakeholders to understand goals and objectives, identify, capture and help develop program needs, build and manage a direct support staff team, as well as be responsive and agile in meeting emerging requirements. The qualified candidate will assist the Senior Government Program Manager and be prepared, if and when required, to be the principal liaison between the senior leadership, staff managers, employees and outside agencies for a wide variety of activities.
Responsibilities
Foster positive relationships with government representatives ensuring proactive and consistent communication. Prioritize quality standards while ensuring tasks and deliverables are submitted on time and within budget.
Manage customer expectations and guide government customers in planning and staffing activities.
Drive evaluation and implementation of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) technologies into customer programs.
Manage customer program tasks to include scope, schedule, cost, and quality. Manage funding allocations and subcontract agreements.
Under limited supervision assume responsibility for overall management, governance, direction, and execution of assigned projects.
Manage project financials to include tracking, forecasting, and reporting of project financial status. Efforts include management of direct labor, profit, and earned value across project timelines aligning to corporate financial tracking requirements.
Maintain individual project budgets and personnel forecasting; report monthly financial execution and task spend plans.
Identify deviations from financial and execution plans and implement corrective actions as required to ensure project success.
Foster an open and collaborative environment with support staff, ensuring consistent communication and feedback.
Support business development efforts to include research and authoring of technical proposals, briefing material, Statements of Work, and pricing proposals.
Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment to ensure tasks, milestones, and deliverables are successfully met.
Ensure adherence to related company policies, processes, and procedures.
Education/Qualifications
+ + Must have active DoD Secret Security Clearance or above
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 15 years' experience is required; or MBA or STEM related post-graduate degree preferred, with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
PMP certification preferred, or DAWIA Level II certification in Program Management.
At least five (5) years of management experience on programs/projects supporting the United States Government (US Army preferred).
Experience identifying support roles for a newly formed government organization.
Experience managing full cycle of a program from definition to delivery.
Experience with vertical and horizontal technology integration in support of organizational growth strategy.
Excellent analytical, project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, team building and decision-making skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to successfully lead and/or collaborate with Sr. stakeholders and internal customers.
Excellent presentation skills.
