We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Americas Distribution, Service and Marketing (ADSM) team!
The Finance Representative 1 is responsible for dealer financial analysis, leading projects to support financial health, managing dealer credit and receivables, protecting Company assets, and making improvement recommendations which contribute to financially sound and successful dealer operations.
Responsibilities:
Dealer Financial Analysis/Financial Health:
Analyzes confidential financial reports and evaluates the financial strength in assigned region(s). Along with the Finance Manager, assists dealers in financial planning, credit and collections, accounting, cash management, etc. Reports financial trends and problem areas affecting dealer performance and recommends solutions to the dealer, Region Finance, District and Region Managers
Asset Management:
Manages company receivables and administers payment policy to minimize past dues. Assists dealers in confidential continuity planning to analyze the financial impact on the dealership when transitioned to new owner. Analyzes and evaluates proposals submitted by prospective dealer candidates and make recommendations relative to acceptability
Financial Institution Relationship:
Provides assistance to dealers in obtaining affordable financing and flexible credit line arrangements from financial institutions. Analyzes existing lending agreements and participates in negotiations with the dealers and their lenders for mutually acceptable legal documentation to protect company assets
Projects and Supporting Role:
Leads/participates in projects to enhance/automate current dealer financial reporting and analysis. Provides valuables insights to business partners for better decision-making
Other Governance:
Monitors compliance to Dealer Finance Procedures, Sarbanes Oxley Act and Treasury Letters
Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or Business Analytics
4 (plus) years practical experience in financial management and corporate finance
Previous experience with PowerBI
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good data analytical skills and understanding of commercial needs
Top Candidates will also have:
Previous Credit/Risk Management/Treasury experience
Knowledge of Caterpillar business operations as well as knowledge of Caterpillar dealership operations highly preferred
Additional Information:
This position may require up to 25% domestic and international travel
This position does not offer relocation
