The Role
The Shop Technician assembles, tests and repairs pressure control equipment in alignment with maintenance and safety standards. The Shop Technician I is a skilled, experienced technician with the ability to perform most tasks independently, while seeking guidance or training for more critical tasks.
Pay Starts at $17.40. Can be adjusted with experience.
Hours/Days: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Mon-Fri. Overtime is Available.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Prepare JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and POWRA (Point of Work Risk Assessment) on job site and perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with SPM Oil and Gas SHE policies
Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change
Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times
Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers
Accurately completes all appropriate maintenance documentation in a timely manner
Takes personal accountability for the proper working condition of serviced equipment - stands by their work
Maintain SPM Oil and Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy
Practices proper housekeeping of work areas
Operates forklift to move equipment and load trailers as required
Pulls parts for distribution to field locations paying careful attention to detail
Communicate effectively, both verbally and written
Must have the ability to perform independently or in a team setting
Performs other duties as assigned
Basic qualifications:
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to drive a company vehicle as needed.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
